The Giovanni Armenise Harvard Foundation was created to change this reality. Established through an act of generosity, the Foundation reflects the shared belief of Giovanni Auletta Armenise and Harvard Medical School that basic biomedical research is essential to understanding disease, advancing science, and improving human health.

Since 1996, the Foundation has invested more than USD 120 million, supporting 200 Principal Investigators and over 160 Trainees selected through a rigorous, merit-based process. This commitment enables exceptional scientists to pursue bold research, mentor the next generation, and contribute to discoveries that may have a lasting impact for decades.
