Obituary Paolo Sassone – Corsi

The ISAC and the Foundation are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of former member and colleague Paolo Sassone-Corsi, who died on July 23, 2020 in his home in Irvine, California (USA). Paolo made seminal discoveries in the field of gene expression and signal transduction in the 80’s and later on circadian clocks and metabolism. He was regarded as a true pioneer by the scientific community. The ISAC and the Foundation will miss Paolo as a scientist but also for his beautiful personality, full of life and southern-Italian temperament. Our thoughts and most sincere condolences go to Paolo’s wife Emiliana Borrelli and their families.
